  1. Since Ryan (presumably) no longer has an agent, is there a way to send him a letter?
Yes! Finally, I have something concrete for those on the internet! Send them to ryan@ryancassidy.com! (You can also send them to me but this keeps everything together.) ! I forward them directly to Ryan's personal email as I get them. I can't guarantee a response because of his schedule but he does get them. If there is an answer I can provide in the meanwhile, I'll pass it along to you!

He wants everyone to know that he really appreciates all the support you've given him - he's not ignoring your messages or taking them for granted. We are working together to start getting responses out to you as soon as we possibly can!

  2. I love the main picture on the bulletin board. How can I get a copy?
I love that picture, too. It was taken in April of 1985 when Patrick opened in Leader of the Pack. There was a lot of press around (it's not often you get those guys together and it tends to gather media buzz). Many of the photos I use from that night were taken by Nancy Carlson but this was in a magazine and I couldn't even tell you which magazine it came from. If I find out, I will let you know!

  3. How do you come up with all of the trivia questions?
Would you believe I read his thoughts? No? Okay, well then I'll say that I got back to old articles, interviews and reliable sources...the one of which was the man himself (on which Titanic documentary he was interviewed for as an expert)...who I think was trying to tease me...but I hadn't had that much variance in answers in awhile...so I think I was outdone there. (I will say, though that all but one of the possible answers were A&E documentaries!)

  4. What is it like talking to Ryan?
I've received this question several times over the past couple of years and have answered the questions on an individual basis but I decided to go ahead and answer it here. Being totally honest and putting all cards on the table (in other words, I'm not putting this out here to kiss up or anything), Ryan is one of the most charming, intelligent people I have ever met. He is honestly funny - very quick (just as I have been told his father was). He is also very modest and easy-going. I feel like I can relax and be totally honest with him - and know that he is listening and takes what I say seriously. I can also say that I have always gotten a sense that he really cares about people - friends, family, and, yes, even us here at the site. Meeting him for coffee a few years back was actually very casual. Many of you seem to think you might totally lose it if in his presence. Listen, he's a human being just like you. There is no attitude or ego. He was just there to talk and answer whatever questions I had for him. The best word to describe him? Charming - just like his father. The man has charisma. If you aren't sure about him going into the interview, trust me you'll be sold when you leave. He is genuinely appreciative and stresses to me every time how much he values your e-mails and letters - as well as those of you who have stepped forward to volunteer in the campaign to posthumously honor his father. That is just my two-cents but hopefully I've given you an idea of why I am so proud to work on this site and am so thrilled when someone new joins us. If you have any other questions or want to hear me really prattle on, email me

You can send an e-mail to Ryan via the contact page of the site, email him directly at ryan@ryancassidy.com or send letters to this address and they will be forwarded: Ryan Cassidy c/o www.ryancassidy.com 6711 Congress Street New Port Richey, FL 34653 USA As for Shaun's address, I am not sure since I only work one-on-one with Ryan. However, you might want to check with the WarnerBrothers.com. They may have an address.

  6. Could you get a message through to _______________?
I'm always happy to provide the best addresses (email or snail mail) I can find for Ryan's family members but, except in really rare circumstances, I do not pass along messages to Ryan for other members of his family. This is mostly out of respect. This is Ryan's site where he is being recognized in his own right and I don't want to use him as a messenger.

  7. I still haven't received a photo or heard back from Ryan. Did he receive my email?
Absolutely. Due to his hectic schedule, he answers questions when he can and apologizes that he cannot respond to everyone individually. We actually receive a lot of email for him! Often he collects the emails and then calls me to answer your questions all at once. He is always appreciative of your questions and kind words of support (Ryan doesn't give lip service to this - he very sincerely means this.). It's always a matter of waiting until he has a spare moment and then we do a whole bunch of things at once.

When it comes to photos, due to bad expereinces in the past where our autographed photos have shown up on eBay, we are now making photos available only to members of our mailing list. The supply of photos and Ryan's available time to sign them are both extremely limited so we announce to the mailing list when they will become available and I distribute them on a first-come/first-served basis to those who have not received a photo in the past. At times I do have extras so if you are a member of the mailing list and have not received a photo please contact me.

We do apologize for these restrictions but Ryan and I feel very strongly that fans should never have to pay for an autographed photo and that these photos should go to true fans only and not autograph dealers.

If you would like to join our mailing list (we don't abuse the privilege - emails are only sent out to announce additions to the site and special events), please go to our Contact page.

Also, if you have something special that you would like signed by Ryan (programs, etc.), please contact me and I will help you make arrangements.

  8. How and why did you start the site?
This is not what I thought would happen when I started. Can I say that? I thought this would be a stagnant little site and I could just design and walk away. Nope.

I always liked Ryan. I have followed this family (not in a stalker sense) for 25 years but the guy has always been my favorite. Something about him that I can't explain. I have interviewed and spoken with several members of his family, but I've always been fascinated with the youngest one who always seemed to have the world on his mind. Incredible talent and yet you always feel like you've only scratched the surface.

I stepped away from the whole fan thing due to some intense personal issues in 1990 and when I rediscovered them on the 'net in 1998, I was very disheartened to find literally nothing on Ryan. True, he hadn't had a TV role since 1989 but he was still out there giving news and pictures and making appearances for his family - giving his time to us without much visible appreciation. Other webmasters said they didn't have time to do even a page for the man and I couldn't accept that. They told me to do it - I'd been stomping for Ryan coverage since the 80s and had the best collection. But I didn't know how to do web thing - I could barely email. Learn, they said. But I don't want to upset his quiet life or make him angry that I'm invading his privacy. You won't, they said. He won't know and you can just do one page and walk away. Simple.

Right. Simple. It's now seven years later and I'm answering a mountain of FAQ questions, wondering if I will have time to call Ryan today to get more of them answered. No complaints. I wouldn't do this for anyone else - Cassidy or not - and I am proud to work for him. It was just never what I expected...not just when I opened my mouth about having a site...but when I was just a kid looking at a picture in a amagazine. Isn't it funny how life goes?

  9. How did Ryan react when he found out about the site?
I was told that he was stunned and a little confused. He watched me for about a year to see what I was about and what I was doing. He liked it and has always been very humble about it - I think he is still amazed so many of you visit (and so frequently). He helped out with a questionnaire first and then seemed to jump in with both feet and became an active, involved part of the site. He's been helping me improve and answer questions ever since. At this point he is a very vital part of RyanCassidy.com.
