Vacancy - Cove Park Scottish Writer in Residence 2008
Three-month residency for a writer based in Scotland 5 May – 1 August 2008 Deadline for Applications: 11 February 2008 Each year Cove Park offers a Scottish writer the opportunity to spend three months at COVE PARK to pursue his or her own work in the company of artists from across all the art forms. The residency is supported by the Scottish Arts Council, and last year was awarded to Laura Hird. We invite applications from published authors who write in any form, including prose (fiction and non-fiction), poetry or drama. The writer will be provided with a fee of £400 per week over thirteen weeks (total £5,200) accommodation on site (which includes a workspace), the support of Cove Park’s staff and access to all of the organisation’s facilities. Cove Park was founded in 1999 and is located in an outstanding rural setting on Scotland's west coast and is 60 minutes from Glasgow by road or rail. It is an international resource, dedicated to artistic excellence and to the support of individuals and groups working in the arts or creative industries.
