A memory of Frank Smith
Hello. I just found out that Frank passed away. Him and I were very close friends late 60's - early 70's. I was best man at his wedding to Maggie. I was with him at one of his favourite concerts (Tyrannosaurous Rex) and worked with him at the castle in his first job. I moved to Canada in 1974 and over the years we lost touch. One of my best memories with Frank was when he was a policeman. He knew someone in the Wee Windaes (pub/restaurant) in the High Street and he got us in after hours. It was a tall building and the bar was on one of its many floors. After numerous beers, we decided we could not make it down the stairs - so we climed into the dumb waiter and went down that way! |
