Toolie, How you like that compass course..

especialy the night part..CP

FTA.. What I saw in the daylite...

Made the nite a bit spooky. However,as much as I hated Polk, It's probably why I'm alive today. Did you get to see the how to kill a chicken demo...CP

Seems to me that they had live chickens

in a pen and kept telling us we would have to catch them and eat them. As the day went on they ran short on time and pulled out frozen chickens. That day was escape and evasion training I believe. They sent us out in small groups 2-4 men in a group. Myself and my partner did great until the last hundred yards or so. We came out of the woods and saw our trucks and other guys from our company so we figured we were done. WRONG!!! As soon as we hit the road these aggresser troops came out of nowhere and captured the two of us. They took us to this compound back where we started from. There were 10 or 12 guys from our company there, and they were torturing them. If I did'nt see it I would not believe it. A couple of the guys were crying. They took my partner and me a sat us down in 2 seperate little rooms and told us to sit there until they came back. Now mama Toolie did not raise a fool, I figured the were giving us the opportunity to escape, so I called over to my partner and said lets get the flock out of here and we split and jumped over a fence and headed on out back in to the woods. We got seperated, but we both made it back at almost the same time. They had all of our things that they took from us, there waiting for us. The First Sgt. said we were the only 2 that escaped, no one else even tried to get out. We got an extra half day on the weekend for that while the rest of the captured guys got KP and extra duty and no weekend pass. I was pretty proud of myself for that.

You are right about the day...

Some how i avoided being captured. Some guys got put in those water cadges. For some it was a tough day. Before we went out the di's had us in a bleacher telling us servival tricks. this one DI had a chicken. he said this is the proper way to kill a chicken. describing his every move, he placed the chicken under his left arm and proceded to pull the chickens head off with his right hand. Thats all I got to say about that...CP

Re: Toolie, How you like that compass course..

The compass part was great, we had a reserve officer try to teach us how to use the compass, he did not have a clue, He got us lost. We were out until about 2 or 3 AM when the rescue team found us. We tried to tell him that he would not be able to see his referance point after dark but he did not listen.

Darn..you missed happy hour at the PX...eom
