Joan's memorial prayer from her friend in Pogo
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered, " Come to Me." With tearful eyes we watched you pass away. Although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us - He only takes the best. This is a short but powerful prayer that says it all. We loved Joan so much and she was such an inspiration to all of us who knew her. She tried so very hard to make her fingers work at times to type to us and make us laugh. Joan loved life and people and all of us in Hog Heaven felt her happiness, her sorrow, and her pain. We were her family in this great world of the Internet and she touched so many of our lives. She will be sorely missed by all of us. May we please have a moment of silence in her honor and say our own special prayer for Joan. This song comes to my mind when I think of Joan. I will type a few verses. Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. Let there be peace on earth the peace that was meant to be. With God as our Father brothers all are we. Let me walk with my brother in peace and harmony. That was Joan..wanting peace and friends and laughter and most of all LOVE. We loved her and we still do even though she has left this earth. She truly is at peace and without pain anymore. Let us celebrate her new heavenly life and be happy that she is with our Lord. Amen. |
