Pop Culture Overdrive & Veronica Mars theme song

I have found yet another way to yap about my favorite subjects: it's very meta if I do say so myself. It's my blog within a blog and you can find it here: Pop Blog.

And here's the answer to the question on everyone's lips:
Q: Where can I find the mp3 of Dandy Warhol's We Used to Be Friends also known as the Veronica Mars theme song?
A: It's on the first OC Mix as well as Welcome to the Monkey House by the Dandy Warhols and more immediately, it's in mp3 form at Dig! under "sights and sounds" further under "audio."

What is it about this song? I think it's 1) a catchy song and 2) a subject we can all relate to. Also, I like Veronica Mars. I'm glad her ex is turning out to be cool. I like his character.

Re: Pop Culture Overdrive & Veronica Mars theme song

I put the wrong link up: find the We Used to Be Friends mp3 at the Dig site.

Courtney Taylor on Veronica Mars 10/12/05

Wasn't that exciting? I was like, hey that Courtney character in the karaoke bar (singing Love Hurts) looks like Courtney Taylor aka frontman for the Dandy Warhols. I liked his little speech about love. I wonder if it was his acting debut aside from playing himself on Dig. Anyway, I took his appearance as meaning he is a fan of the show. Obviously, his already-established band has gotten yet another big push in their fanbase from Veronica Mars. That is cool. People really seem to love We Used to Be Friends which he wrote and performed with his bandmates. Glad to see him seem appreciative. I'd like to know more about how that appearance came about. Maybe I'll ask Kristin at eonline though she has never answered any of my questions. I think I ask things that are too obscure.

Veronica Mars soundtrack and season 1 available

I'm glad they finally put out a Veronica Mars sountrack which of course includes the much requested track We Used to Be Friends by the Dandy Warhols. I noticed it at Tower Records the other day and was really happy to see it out. And of course, it is satisfying to know that fans and not-yet converted fans can view Veronica Mars Complete Season 1 on dvd.

Veronica Mars theme song and more

I realize I haven't been consistent about where I put info. So here's some more:

Let me recommend tunefind.com for your tv show soundtrack queries. In particular to Veronica Mars, these sites will do it for you:

http://veronicamusic.blogspot.com/

http://www.slaverats.com/

Slaverats.com is Rob "I am the creator of Veronica Mars" Thomas' official site with many mp3's etc. for dl'ing.

Season 3 Veronica Mars theme song

It is still We Used to Be Friends by the Dandy Warhols but it is a remix - much slower and moodier. I like it. But I still like the original too. Let me quote The Music of Veronica Mars site (http://veronicamusic.blogspot.com/"

"The Music Of Veronica Mars

Theme Song: "We Used To Be Friends" by The Dandy WarholsSeasons 1 & 2: original version (from Welcome To The Monkey House, 2003) Season 3: remix (not yet commercially available)"
