wheelie`s, steering, 67-33, the answer?......maybee

i`ve been watching all the postings on the 67-33 rule and this is my view(for what it`s worth), i take my girlfriend, and my 3 young boy`s to racing through out the year and the last thing i want is for a racing car to cart wheel over the fence and............. you know what i`m saying, i`ve just built my new class 9 which had a wheely problem that hopefully i`ve cured, being as self builder i could make it comply with the 67-33 rule, my dad has an in line cast iron chevy class 10 which pops a snap wheely off of the line, it`s old school so it has no difficulty steering but to get it to comply with the 67-33 he needs a pinto block strapping on the bonnet, my class 9 will do the figure 8 test, and for those specials that don`t they can spend £600 on a power lock diff and make each front wheel weigh 100kg a peice! (imagine that coming off at full chat!), if they make the rule to exact the insurance companies will wash there hands of any claim if the offending vehicle doesn`t comply!,and where does that leave us?....... if 2 specials are flat out there back wheels are doing 80mph+each if they come into contact thats 160mph+ THATS WHAT PUTS SPECIALS AIRBOURNE, to encase the rear wheels with a substantial open wheel guard that doesn`t collect the mud but stops wheels touching is a simple cost effective way of sorting the problems once and for all, still black flag wheelies (not snap startline ones it`s 30+ foot down the track where it`s dangerous), black flag any car that doesn`t steer at slow speed, yes track construction needs looking at but that is not the cure, ARD,BERRISFORD,EXTREME,etc are building cars that handle (i`m sorry to say) or they wouldn`t be winning!, let`s not ruin the sport when it`s at it`s most exciting, but let`s not put spectators live`s in danger!, i`ve got no corner weights or fancy machines, just common sense and a practical way of looking at things, prehaps thats whats needed on this one, just my opinion, RICK
