Accomodation

Where can we stay on the Sunday night? Preferably a pub or close to one. We'll be out doing a radio all event as we have each year and I remember driving through a village on my way up from Carlisle, possibly Newcastleton, with a couple of pubs/hotels set back from the road on a bit of a square on the left. Anybody any ideas or contact info?

Re: Accomodation

Hi Tony,
Coincidentally I just posted some information on accommodation for Sunday on the Spectators page:

Posted Monday 9th July
Accommodation in the Kielder Area

For those of you who are past sleeping in your cars in November, you may be interested in accommodation near the Kielder stages. See here for general accommodation in the Kielder area or directly here for specific information on the Youth Hostel in Kielder Village. Fellow enthusiast Geoff Pawson is a member of YHA has persuaded the Kielder Hostel to open to Roger Albert Clark Rally spectators on the night of Sunday 18 November and normal YHA conditions and prices apply. Support this great organisation, have a warm bed to sleep in and enjoy both runs of cars through Kielder without it costing you a fortune!

Go and take a look:

I hope that helps

Re: Re: Accomodation

Hello All from Jill @ Stay Kielder,

Just a quick note to say thank you to all spectators who used the Lewis Burn car park at Kielder on the Monday.

My husband is one of the volunteers who run one of the spectator car parks. You helped us raise some much needed funds to help Kielder Youth Club. Thank you again.

Looking forward to next year - I run a small B&B in Kielder Village called "Twenty Seven" located opposite the village shop and up a block - we were full this year but there may be some of you who would appreciate a warm place to stay in 2008. See the website for more details:

www.staykielder.co.uk

Also available as a self cater let.

Give us a ring if you need more info

Jill
