Anymore enteries
Really looking forward to another year watching the rally i've followed it every year since the start. Only problem is this year there seems to be less compeditors. I'm traveling up from London and most years do over 1000 miles on the rally together with the spectator fees, petrol money and taking time of work the low turn out is slightly putting me off going this year. It's just seems a lot to layout just to see a handful of cars. Although you just can't beat the sound of a BDA in it's natural habitat, the Scotish forests. It's a shame you can't make the event part of a chapionship to try and attract more enteries. |

James There are some more entries for the main event, and quite a few for the Kall kwik and Clubmans events. Championships to do a three days event unfortunatly are not interested, as not all contenders can either afford the event or the time off work. Next year the Kall Kwik event is the final round of the peugeot 205 championship, so we are trying to attract relevant championships for this unique 2wd event. The event tries very hard to attract both competitors and genuine spectators both of whom play a major part for the development of the event for future years. As you can appreciate the costs associated with organising this type of event is huge especially with no sponsor to foot the bill. For instance my Forestry bill for the 3 days will be over £75,000.00 the need for spectators on the event, to come and pay to watch can only help this development. Regards Colin Heppenstall |

Thanks for the reply Colin i've decided to make the effort and get up to scotland for the event. Hope that not to many cars drop out in the early stages. Roll on Saturday, can't wait to hear the cars in the forests again. Hope you can interest more 2WD cars for next years event personally modern 4WD cars are to quite and boring to watch, we want more Escorts and alike. |

I did suggest that it would be an idea to do what the Belgians do in thier championship, and count each day as a seperate event and score points for each day, they could reduce the % of events to count, so it was still possible to do enough events if a major problem, stopped a return for 2nd/3rd days. |

Really glad we made the effort to get up there, weather was a little wet and 3 up sleeping in the car for 3 days was interesting (don't think i'l ever forget the very very very wet night spent at Greystoke and Ae, still finding wet things in the car!) Thanks again for putting on such a great event, and looking forward to next years already, Hopefully with some big names and more variaty of Historic cars, although you just can't beat a well driven escort! Roll on Novebmer 2008
