A quick question?
Just a thought Why is the event not ran through some of the most famous stages in sunny WALES? North and MId Wales Only SOUTH is full of WRC Hillbillys. |

For God's sake NOOOOO! Lake District, yes, more north east stages, yes but please not the land of the eternal traffic jam. |

Eternal TRAFFIC jam used to make the RAC :) Parking 2 miles from a stage was good. Access now has been improved vastly over the years in North Wales. JUst wondering why? But maybe the rally organisers see it the TRAFFIC still a big problem. |

I think when the first RAC was planned there were no available forest allocations in North Wales. With the subsequent demise of The Rally of Wales and Astra the situation has changed so it is at least a possibility. However do keep in mind that one of the main organisers is currently based in Aberdeen so the current stage locations do have some benefits. Clashindarroch anyone? |

There is alot of Rally fans in this area though who dont get the chance to watch much Rallying anymore. I do as I travel but for those who dont want to travel or cant afford to travel. I Live in Chester (another famous location) so for me to get to Dalby on Saturday I travelled 150 miles :) Which was good fun :) But would have loved to gone to Dalby, Cloclaenog, Penmachno, Sweetlamb to name a few :) Or even alternate the RAC? Scotland One year Wales another? All though Kielder is one of the best if not the best! If I remember they used to alternate the Lombard RAC? |

Keep the format the way it is. It has proved successful for the past 4 years. Ok, it's a bit expensive but can you imagine the entry fee without the double use of stages, not to mention the extra costs for the organisers and competitors for the extra time involved in Wales. Great idea though, but a sponsor of the event is surely needed to offset some of the costs and attract some big names from past and present. If a capacity entry could be achieved then imagine the possibilities. Any ideas? Roll on next year!! |

Only Delacy M.Club can give us some answers. I believe entry this year was around £1000 mark. |

I agree with Keep ur lit, the present format is pretty much ideal. My only suggestion is to cut the time between 1st and 2nd runs on Sunday afternoon and Monday morning. Saturday and Sunday morning were great at 2 1/2 hours, but 4 hours is a long time if you can't fill in somewhere else without leaving before everyone is through. Hopehouse and Roughside might have been possible, if we'd known how to get in to Hopehouse without parking on the main road. I realise it was servicing requirements that led to it and there may not be an affordable option, but it's worth a thought. |

Most historic competitors spend half the year in wales [not North I accept] and I would think the chance to do clasic stages in the North of England and south Scotland is a major appeal. |
