Thanks everyone

Thanks to all the marshalls and competitors alike..
I was at Burniston Road service for six hours and loved every minute!! I told the wife and kids I would only be half and hour.
Just blown away with the atmos...I am from Scarborough and cannot remember the buzz being so good since i saw Roger Clark and the Chequered flag stratos as a kid on the Marine Drive at night.
Next year i either want to enter, marshall or watch the entire event....
thanks again.

Thanks everyone.

Andy, I know what you mean about the atmosphere. having been involved with this event since it's first year, it is the atmosphere that has always gripped me. I too can remember service on the Marine Drive [Colin tried for this year honest!!] looking down on the lights shining off the water....but dont get me started.
Its the small things like seeing service crews in a a layby working on a car whilst driver and co driver receive refreshments. The event oozes friendliness.

If you want to get involved then contact De Lacy Motor Club, either by the staffing section of this site or via www.delacymc.co.uk. Heres to seeing you next year...

Re: Thanks everyone

I want to get involved and will get in contact thanks.
Please try next year for the Marine Drive i know what our council are like. The friendliness was one the biggest things.I spoke at length with complete strangers crews, drivers and marshalls alike and within minutes were like old mates.I watched some guys change a back axle as quick as you like and it was a joy to watch. We clapped when they dropped it off its stands and off they went. Not a big budget outfit but seemed well organised and practiced.I was jealous as hell not involved.
When are next years regs out? cheers Andy
