How much did it cost you
Just thought i would put a message with rough costs of this years event if any one is interested in doing it next year and wondering what estimated cost would be Entry inc management £2115 Fuel for car (tesco 99 ) £310 Fuel for management £220 Fuel for Service van £170 Tyres 8 new and 8 secondhand £600 Accomadation 8 people, 2 nights @£12 per night per person ( in a new camping barn just 2 mins from airport Food and beer ( biggest expense ) £300 set of brake pads £185 Other bits n pieces ie; oil, brake fluid etc £100 so about £4000 all together for 200 stage miles, a bit dearer than your average event and although we didn't finish ( again )will still be back for another go next year |

How on earth do you get 8 new and 8 second hand tyres for £600?? Still it does show it can be done on a sensible budget. The entry is roughly pro rata to an HRCR round, and rest is fair really, chase costs but is part of the whole spirit of the event. |

8 brand new Kuhmo R700's £400 on ebay, bought them earlier in the year, better than paying £90 each on the day |

I haven'y kept a good record this year but it's usually just above the £4k mark. Hotel bill was high this year as we only booked it a couple of months before and the £26 per room hotels had all been taken. Tyres are around £20.00 each second hand and I can't drive any quicker on new tyres so it saves me a fortune. We did 6 pairs of rears and 3 pairs of fronts so have enough tyres which we acqiuired on the event to do all next season, including the RAC. DH |
