Provisional Route

Looks Good!
High profile start, 2 floodlit stages at Temple Newsum, and wonder what are the TBA stages at Scarborough? Hope it's Olivers Mount.

Re: Provisional Route

Glad you like the route, we hope that by posting this early we have whetted your appetite.
Iknow that the webmaster and I are looking forward to November already. We wnet to the Pirelli last week to talk to crews and we had forgotten how bleak Carlisle airport is,but seeing all those familiar cars here made us excited!! Good to see that Mr Hill has got a 2 door bodyshell now. Up for a repeat of his open event win last year we hope!

Re: Provisional Route

Richard will be in the historic rally this time won't he?
If he is doing BHRC his car must now be period.

Re: Provisional Route

Route looks brilliant - obviously a big disappointment that Dalby is off the agenda, despite everyone behaving themselves last year, but it'll be nice to get back into Harwood Dale again for the first time in a long while. Presumably there'll need to be a couple of chicanes to keep the speed down on such a quick stage?

Re: Provisional Route

Disagree about Dalby.

Let the FC keep it for mountain bikers if they want. It's just one of the classic stages and there's plenty more left. I'm happy to be in Langdale and Harwood dalle is an absolut treat for me as I've only ever been in there once and that was on slicks! (long story. Service crew were in Pickering service with the knobblies and we were in Burniston sitting waiting)

One day the greenies will have screwed us out of the lot but for now we're still rallying so keep smiling.

Re: Provisional Route

Er, have I missed something here or is there no stage 18? It appears that there are two 19s on the provis maps, second run through Ae and first run through Twiglees. Caught me out for a while...

Re: Provisional Route

Oh heck, I will have to have a look at that...spent ages getting them in the right place on the map...back to the drawing board, As long as you have sorted it now though.

Re: Provisional Route

No probs, Malcolm!

Luckily I'm not a competitor, but it had me scratching my head for a moment. But that's nothing unusual...

Re: Provisional Route

Good job the drivers don't do all the navigating on long events otherwise they would be confused!!!
