Grokking the GIMP
I know several maids are using the GIMP image-editing program. I have a book called "Grokking the GIMP" by Miss Carey Bunks. (Apparently "grok" is Martian for "to understand" in some bongo book.) The subtitle of the book is "Advanced Techniques for Working with Digital Images," but it starts with the basics, like how to use the GIMP's tools. It is likely not up to the current version of the GIMP, but I imagine it cannot be too far off. Would anybody like to have this book? A friend gave me the book some time ago, but I do not actually have the GIMP. This friend has since moved away, so there is no chance of returning it. I have a version of Photoshop (which I am trained in) so I have no reason to get the GIMP. The offer stands until I find Grokking the GIMP a new home! (Unless I find some reason to keep it.) |

Oh, Miss Yu! I'd like it, since I cannot understand the first thing about GIMP even though I am TRYING VERY HARD! How can we arrange this? I know you won't be able to PM me at the Blue Camellia, but you may send me your address by elektrapost at miss adele poppy at yahoo dot com (with no spaces in the name). Would you like cookies in return? I am making enormous batches of them and am in danger of eating them all myself. |
