Message:   Okkk, just droping one of my one cents in this conversation. I "personally" think that we shouldnot rename any of the streets in gouyave especially Depardine street. after all isn't this the longest street in the entire island stretching over a mile long "lower, central and upper Depardine St."(can someone verify this fact)?? This street is like the main link, with all other streets branching off form it linking all of us together(try to visualize it) And here is a thinking cap question, what is the one name you think we can have that will represent us as a community?........................(no "ONE person") after all isn't that what gouyave is? if u want to name it after someone, find a name that will have incorporate(all the guys hanging out under grace duncan store, those guys in gun battle, those who walk the streets between 12am and 6am to give us the nickname the town that never sleeps, the fishermen and women, the little kids in the bay, all the older folks with all the stories of gouyave and last of all the individual nicknames of gouyave people (half of them you never know their real name). If one name can represent all of this i will be more than happy to give you my vote!!.......................my one cents.
