danny toronczak
I see our wonderful manager has done it again??? According to the Belper Town website Danny has signed for them. How on earth can he lat our best player go I've been saying for sometime that we needed a change perhaps people will start and agree with me now? From what I can gather gilcrist failed to offer danny a new contract so he has gone and signed for belper!!! Preumably we will get the same old rubbish football again this season except we wont have danny to get the goals to get us out of trouble!!! It seems to me our manager wouldn't know a good player if it jumped p and bit his backside!!! How long is this going to go on?? Comments please??? |

It's Eric's call and he clearly feels that changes are needed. Let's wait and see who he brings in before writing him off. |

Hi all, I just want to put the rcord straight and confirm that yes I have left the club and joined Belper Town this weekend. Ossett did offer me a new contract for next season, but after thinking hard about it, I thought it would be the right time for a change. I've spoke to Eric today and he is fine wishing us well for next year. I,ve really enjoyed my 6 seasons with the club and would like to thank Nev, Stu and all the commitee, Eric, Tony and Nige for everything they've done for me, you couldn't ask for a more set of loyal, hard working people to be involved in a football club at any level. Also all the supporters who have cheered us on through the good (and the not so good) periods we've had. It definitely has been a rollercoaster at times!! I'll be following the lads next season and hopefuly i'll get down to some games to cheer them on!! All the Best Danny T |

Good luck to Danny at Belper as he has been a good servant for the club. That said the rumour locally is that eric wasn't that keen to keep danny and I'd have to agree. If Albion fans are honest his performances this season and certainly since the turn of the year have been poor. I've seen nearly all home games and a few away and he has lost some of his pace definitely!! And didn't have a great deal else to offer. Have to agree with the manager time for new blood up front. Glad we've kept Dave Dickinsen who is a top striker. |
