Danny Toronczak
Just to correct Baz who seems to know more about the football club than I do!!! Danny Toronczak was offered a revised contract at the end of last season which when playing gave him similar terms as the season just passed. Danny quite within his rights said he wished to take some time to consider this offer and I am sure others that he may have received. As of yet the club hasn't received a response from danny and in my position as Manager I have to ensure that as time passes the club is not left without the necessary squad for next season. It is a harsh reality that as players take time to consider offers Managers have to have contingency plans to ensure we are not left high and dry as other players are being snapped up by other clubs and to this end I have been working to bring in alternatives to Danny. as i have said previously danny has been a huge part of this clubs success in recent years and is not only a player at this club but someone i regard as a good friend. Indeed I gave Danny his debut at liversedge some ten years ago. But my job is to do the best for Ossett Albion which is exactly what I am doing. danny had a good contract with Albion one befitting one of the top strikers in unibond football but he had every right to test the water elsewhere and as he does that i also have the right to seek alternatives which i have done and will continue to do with other players who take the same course of action as Danny. Whatever the outcome I will wish danny well and if that future is with Belper Town so be it i speak regularly with their manager and one of my former players Andy Carney and I know Andy is keen to aquire danny. In closing life goes on Ossett Albion will continue and if Danny does make the decision to leave I will seek to bring in a replacement. Simple as. Hope I havn't ****** on your bonfire Baz!!!! |
