WHY, WHY, WHY WAYNE???
Wayne, PLEASE ANSWER THIS!! How come you wern't playing Scott Williams and he now has left the club? What is it all about? He is such a tallented young player and having a player such as Impey who when ever he get the ball over laps the winger meaning Scott has to drop back and defend. You might as well play Impey left mid.... I have watched a few games this season where he has overlapped the winger and be caught out by the other team who then go on to score... I think you need to have a word and look back at the players you have got and who you are playing? Should your favourites from Sherburn automatically be brought into the team and stay in the team??? |

I don't usually respond to postings like this. I don't usually look at forums, but having had this one brought to my attention, I thought I would reply, purely to prove why, at times, they should be ignored. So, this is my one and only posting for the saeson to prove how someone can rant without getting facts correct. I will respond to each paragraph. 1) Scott Williams is not playing because his form is not as good as others in his position. I have even tried Scott in a free role in a friendly - but he didn't respond to that either. He left of his own accord, without having the bottle to stay and fight for his shirt. You would have to question whether that is the sort of player needed at Unibond level. Personally, I think we need fighters not quitters. I have spoke to Scott and the door is always open for him to return if he wants to fight for his place. 2) I agree that Scott is talented, but he has not played on the left when Impey has been full back. So your comments here are totally unfounded. 3) If you have watched a few games this season, then you should have noticed that Impey has only played full back twice in four games, no goals have been conceded as a result of Impey overlapping and the opposition counter-attacking. (Do you want the Management to promote attacking football or a rigid, boring 4-4-2? - you are obiously not a coach). 4) Week in, week out, all Managers consider their team selection, win, lose or draw. Didn't you know? As for favourites, my favourites are the players on form, Scott doesn't come into this category at the moment and if he decides not to come back, then never will. Two of my favourites from Sherburn (as you call them) have already made a big impact on the first team, so it's irrelevant where anybody comes from, what is relevant is how well they are playing as individuals and as a team. What is obvious is that irrespective of form, you yourself have a favourite - Scott Williams - so why accuse anybody else of having them? Hope that clears everything up! Irrespective of what comes on here in future I will not respond, but as I'm new to the club and it's early season, I thought I'd do this one and move on. The First Team have made a good start to the season, the Reserves have already won as many games as all last season in total, but better times are to come I am sure. All I want to concentrate on is improving the playing side, short and long term - not responding to rants! Best of luck to everybody. Enjoy the season. |

I was there at the Guiseley game and I thought he was one of the best players? Can I ask how many full matches have you played Scott for (the full 90 minutes. So what your saying about favourites is that you have bombed the rest of the squad, played everyone from Sherburn and if they had a good game they are playing well so the other lads haven't got a chance.... Thats a lame answer. I would like to confirm that I am a coach and hold my UEFA B Licence, what level are you?? How many games have you won since Scott left, let me think??? Oh yes NONE!!!! You have conceded goals through Impey as he is not a team player, he shouts at the lads about not doing something then he doesnt do it himself, is that what you call a captain, I dont think so... How many other players have left the club since you have taken over? Because if their is none at the minute im sure they are not going to sit about and watch Sherburn Albion (sorry I mean Ossett Albion) play every week. |

geoff, a forum is a forum mate, thats what its here for, dave goodhall is entitled to his opinion be it good or bad and should be allowed to post it on here. I'd be more concerned if people didn't give a toss about what was going on with our teams, be it U19's reserves or first team. |
