HELP my dart is in bits and i only have a month an a bit to get it sorted

HELP!!!
after the single handers at rutland last year i decided to give my very old (872) dart an overhaul i found that it had been paited with car paint after striping it all off i found two very bad repairs underneith after much deliberation i have taken the deck of (silly silly boy note to myself dont do things unless you know what your doing)i found it has lots of foam thats wet and soggy inside and broken in to bits!
question :-
1: does it need this foam ?
2: do you just put the deck back on using resin?
3: can some one take me through it step by step please ??
or just give me a few pointers

thanks duncan (ryyc)

Suggest you contact Paul Wakelin at Fluid Boat Services (info@fluidboatservices.com or 01792 456446). He should be able to fix it or tell you how to DIY it!

Hi Duncan, Looks like you might of opened a can of worms, nothing is un-repairable but it sounds like it will take a fair amount of work and time. Here at Windsport we are repairing catamaran hulls and dinghy hulls all the time, including dart and sprint15. If you give me a call I can talk you though some of your problems, alternativly it may be an option pick up a secondhand replacement hull, we have them here in various hull colours, some we have worked on and other are serviable but not tidy. You can find us on www.catparts.windsport.co.uk 01326 376191

There was an article on this in the most recent 'Art of Dart' Would be well worth a read even if you decide to get it done by someone else.

Hi bring the Bits to Datchet on Sunday - Paul will be there and may even have some spare hulls you can use for the winter warm up if you get him to repair it!

Couldn't think of another way of getting Datchet into this topic and must add that Paul knows nothing about this reply and we reserve the right to deny all knowledge should we wish to do so!!
