Datchet winter warm up - Barry the brave ??
Glory doesnt often come to old 316 !! However after a most excellent time at Datchet yesterday, Wyl and i are presently holding the unofficial 'Dart18 heroes of the day award' for the only Dart 18 racing yesterday to have two sails up What was that all about Barry, two up with only the main flying (i am sure it is because your crew is new to Darts and you didnt want to take any risks) teasing aside it was a great day and if you havent signed up then come along for the next pair of races this sunday 10th (see Barry's posting for full details) whilst it was blowing the dogs off their leads (and wiping out most of the monohull fleet) the racing was well organised and safety boat cover excellent. We inverted, they were there in a jiffy, and stood by while we sorted things out in relative safety highly recommended |
