Korean War History Program

Hi everyone! The Northeast Georgia History Center in Gainesville has
put together another wonderful history program for the homeschool
community! We began with the World War II program in August and are
going to move forward in time to the Korean War era. Several area
veterans are going to speak on their experiences. If you were able
to attend the WWII program, then you will remember the incredible
collection of artifacts/memorabilia displayed at the front of the
room. Glen Kyle (who works at the history center and brought out his
personal collection for us) will also share his Korean War era
collection.

The program will be on Tuesday, October 21 from 10-12 at the History
Center. Admission is free for members, $5/adults and $1/school-aged
children. (Pay at the door.) As always, you are free to tour the
museum after the program (they have a new poulty exhibit complete
with a chicken house!). You can pack a lunch and eat on the grounds
or go pick up your lunch and come back afterwards if you'd like.

Please let me know if you are planning on attending so the history
center can set up the room with enough chairs. I know our family was
very moved by the extraordinary veterans and their stories during
the WWII program, and we are looking forward to the Korean War
veterans!!

Thanks,
