Just a quick note, after admission yesterday and administration of the first 2 doses of chemo, Kyle has developed a fever of 105 degrees. It's stubborn and holding since 2 PM today. He is currently in today's version of "packed in ice" and it's budging yet. It's been about an hour and a half of this method.
His heart rate is tacking out at 177 and he is also on oxygen due to dropping levels. His blood pressure is shaky so his anti-nausea medicine is being held to keep him from bottoming out completely. He's just miserable and my heart aches for him.
They have haulted his chemo and put him on several bolus runs now (flushing fluid through at a high rate) this is to assist his heart and help flush out any sepsis (infection).
