There's good news and bad news. The bad news is, Kyle has an infection in his colon. The good news is they caught it before it ruptured and would have been much, much worse!!!
They were going to take Kyle off the vent today, but because he still needs pain meds, he still needs the vent. They will have to give him a few days with antibiotics before they can wean him off the pain meds and then they can wean him off the vent again.
It won't be too long though. That's more good news! It was a set back, but not too far back. At least not as far back as it first felt like! He's on very low settings on the vent and can come off very soon. As soon as he is out of pain, he can come off of the vent. Not too long!
Maybe we can still go home soon???? That's what you can pray for? Home! We haven't prayed for that yet! Let's start praying for that now!! HOME!!!!!!!!! No rush mind you, but it sure would be nice!

We will continue praying you all can go home...thanks for the update...it sounds far more positive than the last, and we are encouraged. Know that you are in our prayers throughout the day, they night, the day...I love to picture Kyle running on the beach with a kite...someday....
