Well Kyle has been doing well until this weekend. He was drinking way too much water for his stomach to handle and kept throwing it up becuase his tummy was too full and ended up dehydrated! We had to go to our local ER and be life-lighted up to UCSF to be admitted for re-hydration.
His sodium was really high because of all of this and is something that you can't bring down fast, so they calculated out 3 days of slow hydration and he should be back to normal. So far his labs show him doing exactly what they want him to do, so, so far so good!
No big deal, Kyle just needs to sip water instead of gulp it down. Ever since he got to the hospital and started sipping water, he stopped throwing up. We kept trying to tell him to slow down, but he wouldn't listen. Had I known this would happen, I would have MADE him slow down! Now I know.
