Hey Chaplain:

I'm glad to share this day with so many other veterans. So many endured so much more than I did, to the point of giving all they had; their lives. I feel rather guilty so often because our time in Nam was an easy tour. Only after those of us who went to Nam in 1965 missed out on any kind of skirmishes. I heard that after we returned home, our unit; the 584th Enineer Co.; moved to an area where some of my friends were involved in skirmishes and didn't survive.

These are the true veterans. But I am proud of the fact that we were there and could have been in conflict also. We did our time and were "in country". But I am glad to say I was there along with all my other buddies.
