Hi if anyone can help I got this arc from my school when I left over 12 years ago, and at the time worked FAB. Its been in the loft since. Got it down last week after reading about battery rot!
Caught it in nick of time and replaced it. I then reset using Delete key but it just goes straight to supervisor screen. Read on internet that CMOS chip can fail, so quickly got a new one from CPC fitted and reset again but still goes straight to Supervisor. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it am very sentimental and would hate to get rid of this classic

Sorry but I have tried that and all I get is desktop not found error &D6

Have you tried resetting the CMOS?

Press R while powering up. If that doesn't work, try DELETE while powering up.
