i recently acquired this gem of my youth, an acorn archimedes (a3000, i think.. it's not right in front of me), and i am in need of a mouse or at least some info on what the pin arrangement is so i can fix one up myself..
sorry, but I have nothing, that could help you. But try to look at http://www.acornsearch.com/. There is a lot of stuff and some newsgroups, where you maybe find out more.
Good luck!

I don't know how far you'd get with making a mouse from that
information. At a guess, I can say that:
SW 1-3 Connect to 5v through a switch (mouse buttons).
XDIR/YDIR +5v for up/left, 0v for down/right.
XREF/YREF Pulsed +5v from pulse encoder.
No responsibility taken for blown mouse fuses etc!
I am in the same situation, I have two A3020s and an A3000 but no mouse. It is still possible to buy a new mouse from http://www.apdl.co.uk/mice.htm, but they cost £17.50!!! Or you could get an adapter for a normal PS2 mouse for £19.00
