Re: mouse info..

Hi,

sorry, but I have nothing, that could help you. But try to look at http://www.acornsearch.com/. There is a lot of stuff and some newsgroups, where you maybe find out more.

Good luck!

Re: mouse info..

There's a PS/2 mouseinterface for the Archie. Try asking Pacman on iconbar for details.

Re: mouse info..

I've seen a couple on offer on ebay recently.

Here some info on the pinouts
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~theom/riscos/docs/mousepinout.txt

Pin Signal
1 XREF
2 SW 1
3 SW 2
4 0v return
5 XDIR
6 5v supply
7 YREF
8 SW 3
9 YDIR

Pin numbers (looking from the back of the computer):

/----------
9 | . . . | 7
6 | . . . . | 3
. . /
----------
2 1

I don't know how far you'd get with making a mouse from that
information. At a guess, I can say that:
SW 1-3 Connect to 5v through a switch (mouse buttons).
XDIR/YDIR +5v for up/left, 0v for down/right.
XREF/YREF Pulsed +5v from pulse encoder.

No responsibility taken for blown mouse fuses etc!

Re: mouse info..

I am in the same situation, I have two A3020s and an A3000 but no mouse. It is still possible to buy a new mouse from http://www.apdl.co.uk/mice.htm, but they cost £17.50!!! Or you could get an adapter for a normal PS2 mouse for £19.00
