Mac Tours sell six RMs

I notice from Ross Newman that Ensign have acquired six RMs from Lothian Buses. These buses were used by Mac Tours in Edinburgh. The vehicles are as follows:

Closed topped RMAs NMY634E RMA50 and NMY646E RMA9

Open topped RMs CUV210C RM2210, 863DYE RM1863, 858DYE RM727, and WLT371 RM371.

It is a shame they won’t be seen everyday in Edinburgh anymore and I wonder where they will end up?

My bus number (if any): RM471 & RM2213

Re: Mac Tours sell six RMs

Are all of these repowered with cummins B engines and allison gearboxes ?
Mark

My bus number (if any): RML2391

CUV210C RM2210 ; 863DYE RM1863; 858DYE RM727; WLT371 RM371

Well they don't have RM 1863, they had an RM "1803" 858 DYE which is actually RM 1010!!

All of these RMs 371, 727,1010 and 2210 and RMAs 9 and 50 according to Ian's Bus Stop have Cummins B series Euro2 engines with Allison T270 gearboxes

My bus number (if any): RTL 960, RML 2667, RM 1585, RMC 1458 and 14 RTs

Re: Mac Tours sell six RMs

We also acquired RMC1485 from Lothian

Of them 371/1485 and RMA 50 will all join our PH fleet. RMA9 Has now been sold and will be joining a reputable operator here in the UK. RMA58 our own AEC engined RMA will now become available for sale for preservation only. RM1010 will be going overseas but to a very, very good home, the other open tops have now just been collected and will be offered for sale.
