What PAINT

Looking at repainting the bus, I am told lots were hand painted.

What is the best method of painting

Re: What PAINT

Unless you are an expert coach painter avoid hand painting at all costs!

Many a bus has been ruined with poor quality paint, hairs from brushes, brush marks, etc etc. While it may look OK from a distance, you want it to look good close up too. Personally I would recommend nothing less than a respray in 2 pack, expect to pay £400 for the paint alone, the preperation, if done properly, will take a LONG TIME and cost money, unless you do it yourself. The finished result will be spectacular and will last years even if stored outside. Anything less and you could end up doing it again in 5 years as may fade, as red paint does, to a nasty pink! Do not opt for a "cheap" coat of paint, quality does not come "cheap"!
