Adverse weather conditions

Took RM2213 for a short run yesterday, pleased to find she started immediately at a temperature of -2C.

These are the instructions for driving in adverse weather conditions, according to the 1967 Country Buses and Coaches Rule Book.

I can vividly remember the long freeze in 1963 and the frequent dense smogs of the late 50s and early 60s. The buses always ran and the schools never closed. My journeys to school on the 108b and 3 to and from Crystal Palace (very steep hills) were always completed, just took much longer!

My bus number (if any): RM238, RM471 and RM2213
