RT chassis spring hanger brackets

I am looking for some of the RT road spring rear hanger brackets, this is the rear springs, they ae on the rear of the front and rear leaf springs, they are like binoculars to look at, they are handed one either side of the spring. AEC part numbers include Y11320 and Y11318. I don't know why our ones are wearing like they are, perhaps the shims have worn away, the lubricators failed or we do a lot of miles.

If we cannot find any replacements, anyone know a metal spray company as getting these made from new, they are dropped forge steel will cost a fortune.
TIA

My bus number (if any): RTL 960 RMC 1458 RM 1585 and several RTs

Hi Brian

at least seem to do (or arrange) metal spraying on brake cams, a friend recently got an exchange set for an Atlantean sent from them - might be worth a call to see if they can do your swinging links
(This firm does a lot of the Stagecoach jacks and hydraulic stuff)

Mark

PS still looking throught the 2 big trays of pull springs for you!

My bus number (if any): RM1414 (sort of)

Re: RT chassis spring hanger brackets

Thanks Mark.
I'll see if they can do anything with them, its got to be a cheaper option than making from new. I am still hoping there might be some around in the UK somewhere, there must be hundreds as they were standard to the AEC Regent lll not just the RT and nobody but us seems to haver worn any out.
