Red paint on RM188

Having clonked a few branches recently the roof of 188 needs a little TLC. For 'various reasons' I cannot find out what the origins of 188's red paint are; does anyone who knew the bus know what manufacture/coding is applicable?

Alan,

I think I'm correct, the bus was re-sprayed by a bloke in Hargrave named James, 01933 460444. I am sure that he can give you the info.

A very useful bloke.
