Removing DMS seat stanchions

Anyone removed the stanchions from DMs seat frames? If so is it a rivet or a key in the lower cup? I don't want to damage it if its a key.
These are not at all like RM seats, they have a rubber cone and flop about all over the place.

My bus number (if any): RTL 960 RMC 1458 RM 1585 and several RTs

Re: Removing DMS seat stanchions

Answer my own question, its a pop rivet that holds the bottom cone to the stanchion pole. Drill that out and unscrew the pole, well that is the theory!! There is some sort of keyway that sits in a groove in the seat socket on some seats but missing on others, that presumably stops the bottom socket from turning.
