City Diesel

Have any of you with an original AEC or Leyland engine experienced problems with fuel starvation or blocked filters or injectors with the new recipe low sulphur or veg oil mixed fuels? We don't usually use the low sulphur stuff but We have at least 7% vegetable oil in our diesel here in France and although not a problem most of the time we are getting gummy fuel pumps on both RM and RTs that have been idle for a month or more.

My bus number (if any): RTL 960 RMC 1458 RM 1585 and several RTs

Re: City Diesel

That'll be the fungus then.

'Organic' diesel can if left to stood, i.e not used up fairly quickly cause a fungus like growth to occur in the fuel system,

I had some on an ATV with a diesel engine last week, it was in the line from tank to lift pump and once cleared out seemed ok.

My bus number (if any): RML 2547
