Route 104 Road Run! - July 3rd

With a week to go before the Routemaster Association's Route 104 Road Run, ahead of the North Weald Rally, I thought it appropriate to mention here progress in the build-up.

We now have sets of Route 104 blind inserts available, thanks to the generosity of McKenna Bros, and I still have a couple of sets available for last minute takers.

Roger Wright's London Bus Company will be providing a 2 bus service using RML 900 & 902, from Finsbury Square to Barnet High Street (dep. 09.30), and continuing on to the North Weald Rally, with a return around tea-time.

A welcome pack of Route 104 notes, maps and a historical summary of the buses used on day 1 of the service back in 1961 (compiled by Frank Messenger of Arriva), are all available from http://publicity@routemaster.org.uk

This event is a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the first RMLs, and all types of Routemaster are welcome to take part.

Details of the event can be found in News Items on the Association's Website http://www.routemaster.org.uk , and electronic copies of the welcome pack are available by e-mailing the publicity link above.

Any owners considering taking part who haven't already informed the Association are also encouraged to do so via the publicity link.
