Mystery RM/RML M4 Cardiff

Hi all
I was on my way home back from Cardiff on the M4 Newport last night at about 5.30pm and a smart looking Rm or Rml went flying past me .
I was in traffic in the inside lane doing 50 mph and this Routemaster that looked fully loaded went flying past in the middle lane I did try to catch up with it and see wich one it was but I got stuck behind more traffic.
It' looked very cool with all the lights on and being used as a bus and not stuck in shed somwere .
Our Routemaster will only do 40mph down hill but this machine was going up hill

Ps I did notice it had route 12 Blinds fitted

Re: Mystery RM/RML M4 Cardiff

Given the location, appearance and speed, the smart money would be on RML2583 operated by London Bus 4 Hire. She has a high speed diff fitted, and is a very well looked after bus.

Re: Mystery RM/RML M4 Cardiff

Another possibility is that its one of Bath Bus Company's RM's. Its Cardiff depot does have one allocated to it most of the time. BBC's main workshops are between Bath and Bristol so they can be sometimes seen going up and down the M4.

Although, given the speed, i'm inclined to agree with Jerry!

My bus number (if any): RML2344
