RM 1872

Its quite sometime since my last contribution to the Routemaster Forum, so may I wish all readers a very Happy New Year from South Devon

For those of you that have made use of the RM 1872 website I thought I would let you know that in keeping with our desire to reinstate the outside of the Bus to look as far as possible in keeping with how she looked when built in 1964, this last weekend we have finally managed to reinstate the CAV Indicators.

As usual we have recorded and published pictures of the reinstatement. These can be seen by looking at the following link on the RM 1872 website.

Re: RM 1872

Hi John ,I was just looking on RM1872's web page, what a fine referb you and your people have done so far on it,it is a credit to you.I remember seeing it at the Ensign raffle, what a way you have come with it.A couple of years ago i was at a wedding in Exeter and persauded my parents it would be a good idea to go to the SDR to see the trains, but most of all to see your RM,sadly the day i went the Regent five was on service,i was so disapointed not to see it as I hadn't seen it since the Ensign raffle. As i live in St Albans in Herts,I can't just pop over to see it easily,If I am Down in Your part of the world again,is their a number for someone I can speak to,to find out if the bus is available for viewing?

Kind regards

Jim Gilroy
