Used ticket boxes

Guys a quick question.

The Used ticket box on the platform of Red RM's is painted black.

Is this true of the Green RML's?

I`ve just found a picture I took at Garston Garage in 1972 of the rear of RML 2439. The used ticket box is black.

Originally the ticket boxes on red RMs was red even the first batch of red RMLs had red ticket boxes when new and this was the case up to RM 1063. The green RMLs being after this had black ticket boxes as also did the country area RTs.

My bus number (if any): RTL 960 RMC 1458 RM 1585 and several RTs
