Medway Running Day 27th December 2012

There was small running day in chatham and Rochester on 27th December to celebrate the 60th birthday of norman Kemp, the current owner of Nu-Venture buses.

A selection of London buses ran on several routes in the area, all of which were licenced PSVs. I swa at least 3 RMs, including 357 and the one from GoCoach. Ensign sent along their RLH, and my GS67 provided a service to Lodge Hill. other services were provided by Nu-Venture Titans, the stagecoach East Kent Regent V and Chalkwell Coaches Optare Solos. Sorry if I missed anyone out! I was rather occupied driving my own bus! There was also a static display of buses in Rochester coach park, with local vehicles in evidence, including a B&H Mercedes artic!

There was a good turnout and a delightful evening tea at a local hostlery aftewards for invited guests. It was nice to meet old faces I hadn't seen for years, including Pete Nichols, Brian Bell and Phil shafe from Metroline and many more..

Happy Birthday Norman.

My bus number (if any): RML2532
