Foyles War

I really must get out more..Whilst watching this Sundays programme,I spotted RM406 (not 100% sure but I think it was RM406)- a Routemaster nonetheless. As the series is set in 1946,by my calculations this bus has appeared 15 (?) years too early. Post war RT's would have been around then, surely I guess.....

Re: Foyles War

You must have good eyes, saw it was an RM, but a post war RT would be also wrong for 1946 as they didn't enter service until 1947. Maybe no RT2s in Ireland where it was filmed!

My bus number (if any): RTL 960, RMC 1458 RM 1585, M 961, M 271 and several RTs

Re: Foyles War

Pedant, but it DOES annoy me too!! Maybe RM406 was a very early prototype? Designed to confuse the enemy, all hush-hush y'know, after all, there IS a war on!

My bus number (if any): RML2532 GS67 BEA MLL721 BEA MLL738 RT2629
