wheel bearing...

Off side front inner wheel bearing didn't look and feel as sweet as the other side, when we removed the drums.
Any thoughts, gentlemen and ladies?

Replace it if you're not happy with it.

Re: wheel bearing...

My thoughts exactly, Roy, whilst I'm at it.
I'll nip down to halfords and get one ;-)

Re: front inner wheel bearing size /part no.

Well, I've given it half an hour and can't find size or part no.
Anyone enlighten me? It would be good to get it ordered today ;-)

Re: front inner wheel bearing size /part no. price match

£127+ the chancellors cut was a little unexpected....
Even more for a reputable name...

Perhaps I expect too much but was the method of asking for help rather lacking in manners?

Perhaps so, Colin, sorry if I spoiled your day.
I like to bring a bit of edgy humour to the group. You would not believe how difficult it is to construct perfectly mannered sentences whilst driving in London traffic ;-)

I tend to have a stockl of all RM wheel bearings if you are stuck!

BTW, if ever you need a centre prop bearing for an RML, they are very expensive and rare. They're also used on Regent V and GWR Railcars!

Re: front inner wheel bearing size /part no. price match

Good plan, Roy.

For those not used to sourcing wheel bearings, it appears there is a quite a premium for quick delivery.
I've decided to wait a few days and pay half what I was previously quoted
