Sidelight bolts

When i takes things apart, i am seriously OCD. I take photos of everything at every stage and put screw/washers/bolts/small parts in labelled in poly badges, and write notes for the more complex parts/orders.

sooo with all that i have still managed to loose the bolts that hold on the rings around the side lights. 6 of them.

I went to my box of bits i have taken off and found the bag label side lights - it was empty

for what ever reason i never put them in it, and depite pulling everything out in my workshop and where the bus is and around it i can't find them!

is anyone able to tell me what bolts they are/where i can get them so i can replace them!

Cheers - feeling a little stupid!

My bus number (if any): RMF2771 (also known as RCN701)

Re: Sidelight bolts

They are not bolts they are chrome or brass screws with a machined thread.

Can't recal the tread size but as they are a Lucas/CAV part they will have an imperial thread.

The head is a slight dome with a countersink. Stainless is a good alternative

Re: Sidelight bolts

Matt,

The answer to your question is that the screws you require are 2BA Cheese Head or similar. As an alternative they can be tapped out to 10UNC

We managed to obtain ours for RM 1872 from a company called Stig Fasteners or Namrick

Here is the URL to their sites

Good luck
