Dalston and Hackney garages combined to form Ash Grove which became operational on April 25th 1981.
RM 1639 outside Hackney Garage on the last day of operation (24th April) with the new AG garage code already applied.
Whilst inside the process continues. Look carefully and the indentation can be seen from the BESI plate holder once carried on this body.
Surplus to requirements, I wonder what happened to this row of AFC machines.
