RM 1119 in Bournemouth

A week long food festival in Bournemouth town centre comes to an end on Sunday. Among a diverse selection of international cuisines, RM 1119 is a Mexican food outlet.

The lower deck is fully fitted throughout as a kitchen with a removed nearside window becoming a serving hatch.

The upper deck has rather unusual seating - former church pews !

It`s a clever, neat conversion finding good use as a niche market and it`s available to hire for private events. It would probably do well at bus rallies. Busy and attracting customers whilst I took these photo`s earlier this evening, when I was talking to the owner this morning a postman arrived with a delivery to be signed for addressed to `the Mexican food bus parked outside Debenhams`. I don`t suppose there are many Routemasters that have a postal address!

Re: RM 1119 in Bournemouth

This was the ex bus that went to Spain and got impounded by customs and it was at London bus and truck and was a restaurant. Glad it's being used again. Old speedy will be happy
