air brakes

while sorting out the air tanks on our RCL I was asked a baffling question
on RML 2284 the single deck one this was converted to air brakes so I am told and as I have not seen it to ask its owner and just wondered not being technical how it was done

My bus number (if any): RCL 2238,RT, RM 1000
