Routemaster Driver Required

Within my roll of Events Officer for the RMOOA I have been contacted by a group who have a RM converted to a coffee shop, they are looking for an experienced Routemaster driver to deliver the bus to an event and then bring it back to their base after the event. It needs to be taken to the event on the 3rd July and driven back on the 5th July. They are offering to pay a driver and offer overnight accommodation between driving.

Now I am not 100% sure of the law here, so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. They are convinced they need someone with a PSV licence as the vehicle is still taxed and MOT'd as a bus, but as it's been converted and now carries goods for sale then does the driver not need a HGV licence?

Firstly can anyone answer the PSV/HGV query and secondly (assuming you have the correct licence) is anyone available to offer his/her services as a driver?

Please get in touch with me and I will pass your details on - 07881 583561.
