Found this official LT document which, unusually, doesn`t have a date on it.
It`s in two parts - one for dealing with a roadside emergency and recovery with the other being for work at garage level.

Hope it might be of interest.......

Thanks, its the first time i've ever seen this diagram. Don't remember seeing anything like this on the bus mechanic school at west ham in 1973.

With regard to the jacking points behind the front axle, we had a large pair of axle stands which were invaluable during a front ( boat) axle change. When Poplar my old garage closed in November 1985, these nice serviceable pair of stands were thrown out in the skip.I did try and rescue these stands but they were well buried, with tons of other useless Routemaster stuff on top of them. Absolutely criminal.

Here is a body stand in use at support point 10 in diagram RM2 above.
