Fuel tank

The RT and RF had the fuel tank on the nearside of the chassis as did the four prototype RMs, yet the production RM have the tank on the o/s. Any ideas why?

Re: Fuel tank

Just a thought but with island fuelling stations in garages if different vehicle types had opposite fuel tank positions you could refuel more quickly as they came in possibly ?

My bus number (if any): RML2747

Re: Fuel tank

Maybe there was a problem with people putting foreign objects in the fuel tanks fitted on the nearside?
