Blind box lights

RM471 had no working lights in any of the blind boxes when I bought it 12 years ago. We had the bus out on an evening private hire last weekend so I decided to do something about it.

I've finally got round to sorting it out by installing SMD2835 LED strip lights. I've mounted them on top of the existing fittings so that tungsten lamps can be restored in the future if wanted.

It is hard to get good night time pictures without a decent camera and tripod but I took these snaps with a flash.

The LEDs are brighter but consume a tenth of the power of the tungsten bulbs.

My bus number (if any): RMs 238, 471 and 2213, GS17
