RML Floor Corrosion

After noticing some corrosion on the upper deck strips that cover the join between the original treadmaster and the coving panels, I lifted the strips to find even worse rot in the base of the coving panels and the corrugated floor sections underneath. I have made some repair sections that fit between the coving and the corrugated section that are fitted from the outside with the panels removed. This corrosion appears to have been caused by the addition of the extra flooring on top of the original on refurbishment creating a water trap stopping it from draining away down the slots as originally designed. I am fabricating some new strips and will fill up the void with sealant before fitting them so any water can drain away as it did pre refurbishment down the four floor drains. It may be worth other owners checking under the floor strips before any rot gets too bad as I doubt mine is the only one to suffer this damage.

My bus number (if any): RML2747
